The debut EP recorded at the insistence of Candle Records label boss Chris Crouch, that Darren would release the few songs he’d written in-between playing in other bands. It was put to tape by Machine Translations J Walker in his shed perched on the cliffs of Scarborough, south of Sydney. A last minute edition, the improbable banjo ballad ‘Falling Aeroplanes’, was picked up and given heavy airplay by the national radio network Triple J and would help launch Darrens career as a solo artist.
